This piece was created after my Virgin Hotel Artist in Residence Summer 2024. In the Quirky Queue style, pieces were selected from Edinburgh Festival flyers and magazines to create the backdrop of John Knox’s House on the High Street where much of the action happens during the bustling festival. Magazine figures were used to add to the composition and display the busy energy on the Streets of Edinburgh during the month of August. An up-cycled Bollinger champagne box was used to create the iconic phone box. Up-cycled nail polish was used for the heads then gloss varnish finished. Framed in a black contemporary frame measuring 68cm x 68cm. Strung and ready to hang.
