This piece was created during my Virgin Hotel Artist in Residence Summer 2024. In the Quirky Queue style, pieces were selected from Edinburgh Festival flyers and magazines to create the backdrop of the iconic Princes Street Gardens where the National Gallery cafe is located where much of the action happens. Magazine figures were used to add to the composition and display the busy and bustling energy on the Streets of Edinburgh during the month of August. Up-cycled nail polish was used for the heads then satin varnish finished. Framed in a recycled frame painted in black chalk paint. Strung and ready to hang.
